from shear illusions
here are some hair tips for your hair....
-If your hair is in a really terrible condition start taking some good multi vitamin for a month or two. Shear Hair & Beauty recommends the 21st Century Hair, Skin and Nails dietary supplement available at JD pharmacy.
- Maintain a healthy diet, increase the intake of fresh fruits and green vegetables, drink plenty of water and avoid short spicy or junk foods.
- Some spices are good for promoting healthy looking hair; these include turmeric, black pepper and cumin. Start using these spices in your daily nutritional intake but just be careful because an excess may be harmful for the rest of your body.
- Avoid stress, because stress or anxiety may lead to hair loss.
- Always use a shampoo and conditioner according to your hair type.
- Avoid sleeping in hair accessories such as barrettes, scrunches, head bands, etc. This can lead to hair damage. Use a sleeping cap made of soft fabric and wrap your hair at night, so it stays smooth and silky the whole time.

how to apply blush.

Pointing out the various ways to apply blush and addressing the technique that will work best for your face shape in order to achieve the perfect look for you.

First off, let’s briefly touch on the various kinds of blush:

  • Powder is the most common and easiest to use – best for beginners;
  • cream is easily blend-able -best for dry skin,
  • Gel provides a sheer tint but can be hard to blend – best for those with smooth skin.

As for color,
  • rose hues are best for fair skin,
  • apricot works great for medium skin tones and
  •  deep reds are perfect for dark skin.
  • Peach is a universally flattering color.

Blush brush,

Different ways to apply blush.
The general way is to start on the apple of the cheeks and blend upward towards the hairline, then downwards to ensure a well-blended and thorough application.
There are, however, application variations to use based on the shape of your face.

  • If you have a thin face and want your cheeks to appear more prominent, apply blush more so on the apples and lightly on the cheek bones.
  • If you have a round face that you want to appear thinner, apply more so along the cheek bone and less on the apples.

Is There Such A Thing As Too Many Facials?

Yes! Unless you have oily skin that needs clearing up or you're doing a series that requires you to go for a professional treatment in every week or two, once a month is sufficient. You can sensitize your skin if you overdo it.

To maintain your healthy skin between professional treatments, try the basic at-home facial once a week, DIY facial.

How often you should get a facial depends on several factors - your skin type, skin condition, skin care goals, your budget, age, even where you live. On average, getting a professional facial once a month is ideal for someone who wants to take good care of their skin. That's because the skin is a living organ, and it takes about 30 days for the cells to move up from the dermis to the surface, or epidermis, where they flatten out, die and slough off.

World AIDS DAY!

Started on 1st December 1988, World AIDS Day is about raising money, increasing awareness, fighting prejudice and improving education. World AIDS Day is important for reminding people that HIV has not gone away, and that there are many things still to be done.

According to UNAIDS estimates, there are now 34 million people living with HIV. During 2010 some 2.7 million people became newly infected with the virus, including an estimated 390,000 children. Despite a significant decline in the estimated number of AIDS-related deaths over the last five years, there were still an estimated 1.8 million AIDS-related deaths in 2010.

The vast majority of people with HIV and AIDS live in low- and middle-income countries. But HIV today is a threat to men, women and children on all continents around the world.

"Lets join hands to fight,to protect,to give our loved ones a healthy tomorrow!" So come lets spread the awareness about it.

DIY: FACIAL

This is the best way to take care of your skin at home. It is easy and
and the time Required is 25-30 minutes. All you need is to Know your skin type and condition to get the right products for your skin.

Things you will need (based on skin type):

Gentle cleanser, e
xfoliating scrub, warm water and a towel, facial mask, basic moisturizer.

Procedure:
1.   Cleansing
Wash the face, neck and ears with a good facial cleanser to remove any grime or dirt. Don't forget to remove makeup with a makeup remover.

2.   Exfoliating
Using your fingers, rub a gentle exfoliating facial scrub in a circular motion on your face. Concentrate on the areas around your nose and forehead, work harder on the areas that tend to be "greasy." Rinse your face well since exfoliating scrubs tend to be drying.

3.   Steaming
There are several ways to steam your face. You can fill your bowl with warm water, dip a washcloth in and press to your face repeating 2-3 times or you can take it further by boiling water over the stove, then turning off the stove and putting your head over the water with a towel over your head, letting the steam seep into pores for a good 5 minutes.
4.   Mask
For oily skin, use a clay-based face mask. For dry skin, go for a hydrating gel or cream mask. Apply the mask, avoiding the areas around the eyes. Keep it on for 10-20 minutes (or, according to the directions on the product). Rinse completely.
5.   Moisturizing
Smooth on a soothing, basic moisturizer over your face and neck.

How To Apply Three Shades Of Eyeshadow

Shades that are conducive to the three shade method vary according to the look you are trying to achieve.

Begin with the basic, a clean fresh face. A light application of moisturizer will assist all of your makeup to stay put longer. Now that you are ready, let's learn the classic application method.

Use the medium shade on the outer part of your eyelid to about the halfway mark, in line with your pupil. Then use the lighter shade on the inner part of your eyelid, meeting the medium color. Blend well in the middle. Use the dark color in the crease and blend outward for a smokey eye.

If you have a 4th color, the lightest shade, use under the brow to help blend the dark color.

Blending is the key.  The desired look is to blend the shades so that they are seamless. That is the essence of the illusion of natural shading. Blending can be done with the fingertip, Q-tip or with a clean eye shadow brush. Lightly blend up and out from the inner corner of the eye to the outer tip of the eye brow.

Weight gain tips!

Causes of Underweight
·       Less Calorie Intake
·       Bad Eating Habits
·       High metabolic rates
·       Inadequate amount of meal
·        Metabolic Disturbances: you may have overactive thyroid, hereditary tendencies, or any other chronic disease leading to metabolic disturbances.

Tips for Weight Gain

  • Always start with a healthy breakfast.
  •  Eat more calories: eat larger portions and eat at least five meals a day.
  •  Keep your mind healthy and stay away from stress.
  • Your actual caloric requirement can differ depending on your height, weight, activity level and your body's metabolic rate.
  • Increase the intake of dairy products like milk and cheese. (But do not over eat) also make smart choicesFor example, choose dairy products, fish and meat over bread. Choose eggs over vegetables. Eat foods with high protein content such as beans, pulses and peas, and foods with high starch content such as potatoes, rice.
  • Eat frequently, Snack a lotConsume a lot of high-calorie snacks (not junk food) such as cheese sticks, milk shakes, muffins, dried fruits, yogurt and breakfast bars.
  • For a fast metabolism. The only way to get around this burn-everything-you-eat metabolism is to eat more than your system has the capacity to burn.

For the extreme cases

After over four years with this problem (underweight), I would recommend a visit to a doctor. My doctor provided me with Tres-Orix, which is well known and seems to work for many people. It has done wonders for me in the last two weeks. I have already gained more than 2 kgs and my appetite is superb.

Beauty tip of the day.

The secret to any beauty aspect is to:
  1. Minimize non pleasing attributes.
  2. Promote and compliment positive ones.

How To Determine your face Shape.

When you know your face shape you can choose your most flattering hairstyles, hats, eyeglasses, sunglasses and earrings.

Determining Your Face Shape
There are a few approaches to this. You will need...
  • A mirror large enough to see your whole face
  • It may help to have a photo of your face. Pull your hair back away from your face and make sure the photo is taken square-on to your face, so you can see both sides. If you're taking the photo yourself, for example with a cell phone camera, make sure the camera is far enough away that you don't get a distorted, fish-eye effect!
  • Or, it may help to draw the outline of your face, with your hair held away from your face, on the mirror (make sure whatever you use -- for example, whiteboard marker, eye-liner pencil, lipstick -- will wipe off later!

Knowing the correct shape of your face will help you find a style that will best compliment your features.

face shape and haircut

Square:  A strong jaw line is common with a square face. The cheekbone, brow bone, and jaw usually have a similar length and width
  Rectangle:  An elongated square face.
Round:  The length and width of face is similar and the middle portion is wider than the forehead and jaw line creating the round appearance.
Oblong aka a Long Face:  This is when cheekbone and brow bone are similar in width but the length of the face is noticeably longer.
Oval:  Considered the most appealing of facial shapes because the jaw line is more narrow then the temples creating soft features. If you have an oval face shape consider yourself lucky, you can wear almost any hair style.
Diamond:  This is when your cheekbones are noticeably wider than your Brow bone and jaw line, resulting in a narrow forehead and jaw line.
Triangle (Pear Shaped):  When the forehead is very narrow with a wide jaw and chin line.
Inverted Triangle (Heart Shaped):  A wider forehead and a narrow jaw and chin line.

“If the wrong style is created for the wrong face shape, the result is a disaster.”
It's all about putting the perfect frame around a person's face to balance and bring perspective to the overall shape. It is very important for you to understand face shape suitability it will help you to understand what does and does not work for you and why. There is a general rule that applies to face shape balancing and it is that you should try to achieve an oval shape, which is the most perfect and pleasing shape to the human eye.
Hairstyle that suit your face shape.
1. For a round shape face keep in mind to minimize roundness by creating less volume around the face.
2. A square shape face want to draw attention away from your angular jaw. Go with texture hairstyles such as choppy ends and lots of curls.
3. An oval face shape can wear just about any hairstyle, so just have fun with your hair and accentuate some of your best face features.
4. For long oblong face shapes remember one thing, add width. You want full hairstyles and haircuts that has lots of volume.
5. The heart shape face has that pointy chin that seems to draw all the attention. So to take away from that, bring out your eyes by wear side-swept bangs.

DIY: TWEEZING

How to Keep Your Brows Looking Great Every Day of the Year.

Shaping Your Brows
The shape of your brow should follow the natural line of your brow bone. The arch should be highest at the outer corner of the pupil. To determine where the brow should begin, place a pencil straight up from the side of the nostril. To determine where it should end, hold the pencil diagonally against the outer corner of the eye pointing up to the brow bone. Brow should extend slightly beyond the eye at which point it should taper slightly down.
Easy Steps To Accurate Tweezing
  • Use good tweezers.
  • Make sure you are in good even light.
  •  Brush hair in the direction of hair growth.
  •  Isolate the hair you are about to tweeze.
  • Pull the hairs in the direction of growth.
  •  Pull one hair at a time.
  • Tweezing after a bath or shower is easier when the skin is warm.
  • For ladies, avoid plucking just before a period as more pain or discomfort may be felt at this time.
  • Pull gently and smoothly.

Not Sure How Much to Tweeze?
Be sure to step back from your mirror and check your brows periodically. Tweeze a few hairs from one brow and then the other so they remain symmetrical. Remember that it's better to tweeze too little than too much.

Do's and Don'ts
* Do tweeze in the direction of hair growth.
* Do open your pores with a hot washcloth to make tweezing easier.
* Do use a make-up concealer to draw your desired brow shape, then tweeze the hairs that fall below the line.
* Don't use creams or moisturizers that can cause the tweezers to slip.
* Don't tweeze nose hairs or hairs growing out of moles.

Shared: tips on how to get beautiful nails

Good morning ladies...Here are tips on how to get beautiful nails.

Maintaining your nails by using naturally available products is something that’s easy to do at home. Ingredients such as orange juice, lemon, sugar, honey and beeswax are easily available and are great for your nails.

- Use lemon juice to remove the yellow color from the nails. Lemon lightens up the nails giving them a whiter look. Apply lemon juice evenly on the nails, several times in a day when you notice the color has turned yellow.

-Use orange juice and sugar to help promote the growth of the nails, strengthen it and promote cuticle growth. Soak your nails in a mixture of orange juice and sugar for ten to fifteen minutes at least two times in a week.

-Apply honey and beeswax to the nails to moisturize and protect them naturally.

How to Clean Your Makeup Brushes

If you haven't cleaned you makeup brushes within the past 2 weeks, or ever, then they are in desperate need of a bath. Typically, most experts suggest cleaning them weekly, but if you tend to forget or just think that's not accurate, then try to wash them at least every 2 weeks. It will only take a few minutes to wash them all, and if you do it at bedtime they will be nice and dry for use in the morning.

Begin by gathering your makeup brushes, two clean hand towels, and whatever shampoo you have on hand. Bring everything to your sink and lay it out. Keep in mind that you will be washing your brushes, but even if they have natural bristles you will not be using conditioner, only shampoo.

Take one brush and run it under the water. Make sure you clean the bigger brushes one at a time, but you can combine some of the smaller brushes together when washing. Wet the brush thoroughly before applying the shampoo.
Add 1-2 drops of the shampoo directly to the brush. Depending on the size of the brush, you will want to alter the amount of shampoo you need. For larger, face brushes use at least 2 drops, and for smaller, eye and lip brushes use one drop.

Once the shampoo is added, gently massage it into the brush. Once incorporated, flip the brush downward and rub the brush in the palm of your hand, using a circular motion. Wash each brush in this way for 1-2 minutes, rinsing slightly during the process until the suds and brush look clean.
It is very important that you rinse the brush well. If you don't rinse them well you can leave behind soap residue and traces of makeup, not to mention bacteria. Begin by rinsing the brush under cold water, while gently massaging the bristles with your fingertips. Do not pull on the hairs and make sure you rinse from base to tip. Continue rinsing with cold water until all traces of soap are gone and the water runs clean.

Once the brush is accurately rinsed, begin removing the excess water by squeezing the brush from base to tip. After you remove the excess water, take one of the hand towels, fold it in half, and gently tap the brush onto the towel.
After you have successfully removed the excess water from the brushes you will need to lay them out, overnight, to air dry. To do this, simply take the second hand towel, fold it in half, and line the brushes on top of it.

Allow the brushes to sit overnight to dry. Once morning comes, your brushes should be dry and ready for use. Check each brush before you use it, and make sure they are completely dry. If the brushes are still damp, do not use them and whatever you do, do not use a hair dryer to dry them.

How to shape eyebrows.

Shaping brows consists of removing unwanted hair and filling in the brow. Each person is different. Some may need to remove hair, while others need to fill in the brow, and some may need to do both. You can pluck eyebrows or wax brows or shave the brows
Tips;
The beginning of the brow should line up with the nose.
Eyebrow arching should start at the outer corner of the pupil.
The entire brow should follow the entire length of the eye, but not extend to the temple area.
Steps;
Get a white brow pencil to mark the hairs you'll be removing.
Get a magnifying mirror so you can see what you're doing.
Go slow and remove only 1 hair at a time.
Don’t over do the top of the brow. You can try eyebrow hair removal of just a few hairs on the top brow, but be careful. It's better to pluck mainly below the brow.

Beauty tip of the day!

For an extra spa feeling to your home pedicure, nuke a damp towel in the microwave for a couple minutes, slather feet in moisturizer and wrap them in the warm towel.

Beauty tip of the day.

Avoid making a thin eyebrow, it will make you're eyes look larger and is an outdated trend.

DIY: MANICURE

How to Give Yourself a Professional Manicure.
Tools you'll need:
A small bowl for soaking, polish remover, cotton balls (or pads), and manicure tools (a cuticle pusher and a flexible nail file), cuticle cream and towels.
How to do it:
Step 1. Remove your old polish with a few fresh cotton balls or pads and an acetone polish remover.

Step 2. File and shape your nails. To get the right shape, use a flexible nail file, not a metal file (it may may damage nails). File each nail, working toward the center of the nail with each swipe; sawing back and forth will tear the nail. Filing in one direction also lets you proceed slowly, so you're more likely to achieve the shape you want. Start with a coarse file, then finish with a finer texture.
Step 3. Soak your fingertips. Fill a bowl with warm, soapy water, and submerge nails and cuticles for a few minutes. If you have time, give yourself a post-soak hand massage. Make a fist and push the knuckles of that hand gently into the palm of the other hand; then switch hands. Rub your fingers along the bones in the back of each hand, then pull gently on each finger.
Step 4. Groom your cuticles. Apply a dab of cuticle cream to each nail, massage it into the nail bed, then let it do its thing for a minute or two. Gently push cuticles back with a cuticle pusher or orangewood stick.
Step 5. Clean up. Wash your hands, using a small nail brush or towel to get the cream off your fingers; then swipe nails with polish remover to clear them of excess cream.
Step 6. Apply polish. Start with a layer of base coat, then follow with two coats of color and a final dose of top coat. (If you're pressed for time, try a one-coat polish.)  Try to cover the entire nail with only three strokes of polish; the more swipes you take, the more likely you are to get streaks.

Step 7. Clean off any polish that might have dripped onto your skin with a cotton swab dipped in polish remover. Be sure to let nails dry for at least 15 minutes before handling anything, and be extra careful for a complete half-hour to prevent smudges or dents.
